Forget pre-Christmas mall madness a. Forget Boxing Day. I would like to propose a new Christmas - December 27th. Give people a promisary note, wait for the crowds to die down. Christmas shopping has never been easier.

Think about it - you can "give" the gift in the form of an IOU and if someone doesn't like it then just buy them something else. You avoid the crowds. You get the post-Christmas sales.
